Google Finance is a website created by Google that displays the latest financial news, worldwide market data and statistical market trends mined from Google's domestic search data. In addition to overall market data, Google Finance contains detailed financial data on companies listed on the NASDAQ and NYSE stock exchanges. By entering a stock symbol into the Google Finance search box, you can easily retrieve a corporation's most recent financial statements.

Open your web browser and navigate to the Google Finance website at www.google.com/finance.

Enter the stock symbol or name of the company in the search box at the center of the screen and to the right of the Google Finance logo, then press the "Get Quotes" button. For example, to view Apple Computer's financial statement, type "Apple Computer" or the stock symbol "AAPL." You can find a company's stock symbol on its printed prospectus or your broker's statements. Google Finance displays a page showing the latest price of Apple's stock, recent news articles about Apple and key statistics, such as net profit margin and returns on average equity.

Click on the "Financials" link under the "Company" column on the left-side of the page. Google Finance displays the company's quarterly income statement.

View the corporation's balance sheet and cash flow by clicking the tabbed links at the top of the income statement.

Toggle between quarterly and annual data by clicking on the "Quarterly Data" and "Annual Data" links at the top of each financial statement.
